B20-02 Lamp Post Bins
The good news is that the council is not asking to remove the lamp post bins currently installed at Parnwell. The bad news is that there remains much argument and bureaucracy, and worries about these bags potentially causing problems in their management. It's as if the council accepts that littering is an issue, but has no finances or resources to solve the problem.
However, as discussed at the meeting of 15/4/25 with the Natural and Historic Environment Manager and Waste Project Officer of PCC, it was accepted that more bins are required in areas where litter is an issue that is currently being dealt with by volunteers placing bags in these areas.
This Bulletin, therefore, ties in with the Bin Reform Bulletin.
