Bin Reform
Welcome to our Bin Reform Bulletin page! At IRC, we recognise the need for a more effective waste management system in Peterborough. With approximately 1800 public waste bins (PWB) and public dog bins (PDB) scattered throughout the city, many are either underutilised or overburdened, contributing to litter issues. Our proposal aims to assess the current bin placements and types, with the goal of optimizing their locations and potentially replacing outdated models. Join us in advocating for a cleaner, sustainable Peterborough!

Mission
At IRC our mission is to collaborate with the council in making littering a thing of the past. We aim to reform public bin services with a practical and effective schedule that not only keeps our streets and pathways clean but also reduces maintenance costs for taxpayers. Together, we can create a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone. Join us in this essential initiative!
The task
Help us achieve our mission by providing valuable feedback on the bins in your area to Peterborough City Council.
The IRC has created a Bin Reform form that allows you to share important information about each Public Waste Bin and Public Dog Bin, including the type of bin, its usage, and how well it's keeping the location clean.
If you believe that a new bin is needed or you're interested in volunteering to manage one, we encourage you to fill out the form and send it to the IRC.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
