In a fast growing place like Peterborough, it is crucial to keep the streets clean and free of litter. The Independent Review Committee (IRC) has taken on the mission to address the rising issue of litter and fly-tipping in our community by working closely with the local council to develop a strategic plan.

The IRC, comprised of dedicated local residents, is putting forth a multifaceted approach to tackle the problem. One of the key components of our strategy is to provide input and suggestions to the council. By offering innovative ideas and valuable feedback, IRC aims to influence positive change in our neighbourhoods and surrounding areas of Peterborough.
To accomplish what is undoubtedly a challenge IRC has implemented a three prong system of documentation.
IRC Directives that highlights the councils specific actions to combat litter and fly-tipping based on their agreed proposals. This then captures the tasks so that the IRC can follow the steps to ensure changes or improvements are being taken to keep our streets clean and our environment healthy.
IRC Bulletins to keep the local council informed and engaged, this includes effective solutions and strategies for reducing litter and fly-tipping.
IRC Letters for all important news and updates sent out to the community. By keeping everyone informed and involved, the committee fosters a sense of collective responsibility for maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
As the IRC's vision takes shape, this website will also serve as a hub for comprehensive information on our initiatives and strategies. Through this platform, residents can stay informed, get involved, and work together to create a cleaner and more vibrant Peterborough.
By collaborating with the local council, providing valuable feedback and engaging with the community, the IRC is paving the way for a cleaner and brighter future. Let's all join hands in support of this important mission to keep our streets clean and our communities thriving.
